Spanish Coat Pistol by Herravuras c1830

A good condition, gold inscribed, Spanish percussion coat pistol, with belt hook.
The .63 caliber, octagonal to round, smoothbore barrel measures 6 ¼ inches and the whole pistol measures just over 10 inches. The barrel has the Spanish makers details and date of 1830 inscribed in gold. The muzzle also has gold highlights.
While the hammer has a lion’s head striker, the lock is void of any decorations. The action works but is very stiff.
The barrel, belt hook and iron furniture all have an even dark patina with some corrosion around the nipple.
The full-length walnut stock and checkered grip are in a good used condition with the expected bumps and bruises after 190 years. The horn tipped rammer also appears original to the pistol.
