Pair of Milanese Over/Under pistols c1840

An very good pair of large over under barrelled percussion pistols by Calabresi of Milano made around 1840.
The .65 calibre, 6 3/8 inch barrels with poly grooved rifling also have front and rear sights. The overall length of each pistol is 11 inches. Original rammers attached.
All four locks and hammers are engraved and in good working order. The locks are alternately marked ‘CALABRESI’ and ‘A’ MILANO’ with on Calabresi being over struck. The German silver trigger guards are also engraved.
The flared walnut grips are in good used condition with carving and steel brilliants ending in steel butt caps featuring a pair of classical faces.
A wooden custom made display stand is included with these pistols.
