Mid 18th Century Dutch Flintlock Holster Pistol

$8000
A rare Dutch full stocked flintlock holster pistol in very good condition with an unusual lock design.
The sighted hexagonal to round .60 caliber barrel measures 10 ¼ inches while the whole pistol measures 16 ¾ inches.
The flat banana shaped lock plate has light sparce foliate engraving with a partial makers name behind the cock. An unusual feature is that a thick metal swirl covers the frizzen screw and connects to the pan.
The lock is in working order with what appears to be some original blue.
The wrist echelon, trigger guard, butt and backing plate are all of once gilt brass with various interesting figures.
The walnut stock is in good condition with light relief behind the barrel tang.
The rammer appears to be a later replacement.
An interesting Dutch holster pistol with the banana lock and curled trigger dating the pistol to the mid 1700s.
