Mid 1700’s European Holster Pistol

$2150

An unmarked, mid 17th century, gentleman’s,  flintlock holster pistol that has had some repairs done during its working life.

The .68 caliber, sighted, smoothbore, two stage barrel measures 9 ¾ inches with the whole pistol measuring just over 15 inches. The bore is in good condition.

The lock and cock both have delicate engraving. No maker’s mark or name appears of the pistol. See photos. The action is in working order.

All the engraved brass furniture is in good condition.

The walnut, full-length stock is in a good solid, period repaired, condition. Initially the grip suffered a serious break and was repaired using two plates on either side of the grip. The plates where later removed and a more permanent and stable repair made. Again, see photos.

The brass tipped rammer appears original to the pistol.

Sold as collector item only.

Price includes postage in Australia, layby available.
