Lepage Moutier Double Barrel c1850

A carefully cleaned and polished French, double barrel, percussion pistol from the renowned Parisian house of Le Page. Gilles Michel Louis Moutier married into the Le Page house and signed his work as Le Page Moutier.

The .62 caliber, smoothbore, steel twist, sighted barrels measure 7 ½ inches with the whole pistol measuring 13 ½ inches. The center rib is engraved ‘Lapage – Moutier a paris’

The back action locks and hammers have foliate engraving. The barrel tang, trigger guard and rammer entry are also engraved.

Both actions are in good working order.

The three quarter, walnut stock with steel butt cap is also in good condition. The horn tipped rammer is original to the pistol.

Over all a very good condition percussion, double barrel pistol with a renowned French pedigree.
