Large Powder Flask by Dixson c1856

A large Dixson black leather covered steel flask with German silver fittings for shot gun or rifle. Flask body with vacant German silver shield measures 7 ½ inches and overall flask measures just over 9 inches.
Clear markings ‘JAMES DIXON / & SONS / SHEFFIELD’ AND CLEAR British design registry markings for 1856. Spout graduations marked 4 ½ to 3 drams.
The leather covering has some cracking and scuff marks but the stitching is very sound. Has provision for four suspension loops 4.
Powder cut off is jammed.
