Queen Anne Pistol by Buckmaster c1760

A good silver mounted Queen Anne style flintlock pistol by Buckmaster of London.
The .60 calibre screw off cannon barrel measures 5 inches while the pistol measures around 12 inches. Early London proofs and a barrel maker’s mark along with ‘LONDON’ are on the top of the barrel, while ‘BUCKMASTER’ appears on the lock.
The stock is in a solid condition with signs of wear with some noticeable dents on the grip and sliver missing from lower rear of the lock. The stock is inlaid with a silver side plate and a fine vacant silver escutcheon and a silver grotesque mask butt cap.
