French Cannon Barrel Pocket c1800

A good condition French pocket pistol from around 1800.

The .30 calibre two stage cannon barrel measures 4 ¼ inches and overall the pistol measures 9 inches.

The lock plate and all steel furniture has been heavily polished at one stage but the deeper corrosion is still visible. The barrel retains much of its original finish.

There is no maker’s marks on the pistol and the action is frozen.

The stock is in good condition with some minor stress cracking.
