English Cased Double Barrel Pinfire c1860

A cased and Birmingham proofed double barrel pinfire pistol from around 1860 that appears to be unfired.
The .44 calibre smoothbore barrels measure just over 3 inches with the whole pistol measuring just under 8 inches. There is a small front sight at the end of the barrel rib and Birmingham proofs on booth barrels.
There is light engraving on all the metal components including the barrel release leaver. The action is in excellent working order as is the barrel release and locking leaver.
The finely checked grip with a vacant German silver echelon is in excellent condition.
The overall condition of the pistol is excellent with much original finish and small amounts of surface rust.
The case is in a very good original condition with its original tools.
Please note that one compartment in the case has an ivory knob and fall’s under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) agreement and will require special certification as antique ivory in the case of export.
