US 1833 Foot Artillery Sergeant’s Sword

A very good period or antique copy of the Ames model 1833 Foot Artillery Sergeant’s side arms.
Modelled on the French 1816 Artillery ‘Coupe chovx’ the sword has a broad 19 ¼ inch double edge gladius blade. The brass hilt has fish scale grips with an Eagle stamped pommel.
Come complete with its brass mounted black leather scabbard.
The sword is in good condition with a small impact chip towards the end of the blade. The scabbard is also in a good condition with stitching intact and some cracking and flacking of the leather.
Can’t definitely say it’s period hence the price.
Price includes postage in Australia, lay buy available.
