Flintlock Pocket Pistol by Molineux c1790

An interesting small brass framed and barrelled box-lock flint pocket pistol engraved with the name ‘Molineux’.
The pistol is about a .44 Cal with a 1 ½ inch barrel and 6 inches over all.
The grip is in good used condition as is the rubbed brass work. The trigger drops down when cocked but the hammer does not release for full cock.
The pistol is interesting in that there is only one London proof visible and the only reference I can find to Molineux is in Blackmore’s Dictionary of London Gunmakers as being in the gun trade in the 16th and 17th century.
