Excellent Full Stocked Coach Pistol by Richards c1815

The very heavy smooth bore .65 calibre octagonal barrel measures 5 ½ inches with a bead front sight. The barrel has two gold bands at the breech and a gold touch hole, clearly marked ‘RICHARDS LONDON’ and struck with Birmingham proofs.
The engraved stepped lock has a bolt safety and is inscribed ‘RICHARDS’ with and integral flash pan and roller fizzen. The swan neck cock and its holding screw are also engraved. The trigger guard is also engraved with a pineapple final.
The stock is in excellent condition with few handling marks and clear checkering to the grip. The original rammer comes with a worm and the silver wrist echelon appears to be engraved with ‘HC’.
The rammer has been expertly repaired at some stage.
The action is in perfect working order, and all the metal parts are sharp and corrosion free, including the bore and still hold most of their original brown finish.
Overall it appears that this pistol has never been fired or operated with a charge. Though there is scratching on the fizzen resulting from dry firing by some idiot as well as a very small nick close to the gold touch hole, courtesy of the same idiot.
