Austrian Traveling Pistol c1780


An attractive flintlock pistol made around 1780 in original condition.
The .54 calibre two stage octagonal to round sighted barrel measures 7 ½ inches with the pistol measuring just over 13 inches overall.
The plain lock is unmarked and the barrel maker’s mark is undecipherable. The action is stiff but still in working order.
The brass furniture, cast and engraved including the square back trigger guard is in good condition.
The carved full stock is in good condition with a few old worm holes. The rammer is original to the pistol.
Sold as a collector item only.
